Harvard Kennedy School Establishes UAE Fellowship

In 2014, the Emirates Leadership Initiative was established as a Harvard Kennedy School fellowship. It was a research and curricular collaboration between the Center for Public Leadership (CPL), Middle East Initiative (MEI) at Harvard Kennedy School, and the government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Emirates Leadership Initiative is a five-year education program with four components.

The 396 Powerpacks that Tesla installed (it acted as its own general contractor) for SCE were all assembled at the company’s Gigafactory in Nevada. Though 80 megawatt hours of batteries might seem like a lot, it’s the same amount of battery capacity that the company puts into its cars in just three or four days of production.
